Lähde yhdessä oppimaan selviytymistaitoja tekemisen kautta. Polku offers tailored survival training year-round, with a focus on traditional wilderness skills and making use of natural resources for food, crafts, and improvised tools. We also provide the Finnish National Rescue Association’s 72 Hours preparedness training.
In Polku’s courses, you’ll learn by doing—discovering that skills which may seem mysterious at first are in fact accessible to everyone. You’ll gain practical abilities such as: lighting a fire using improvised tools

and more!
Survival training is at the core of what we do. With over ten years of instructional experience — including training with Survival Guild Finland and completing courses both in Finland and abroad — we ensure that participants receive up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge delivered through proven training methods. We confidently stand behind the quality of our instructors. They represent the top tier of the field.
An element of adventure is part of every course: not everything can be anticipated in advance. Our experienced instructors support you throughout and guide you in handling any situation calmly and methodically.
Survival training is not about extreme experience, but about understanding your own capabilities. The goal is not to endure suffering, but to learn how to manage in nature with minimal resources—efficiently and intelligently.
All training is tailored to the group. Options include, for example:
- short workshops covering the basics of survival (a few hours)
- multi-day survival simulations in remote wilderness areas
- The Finnish National Rescue Association’s 72 Hours preparedness training for household resilience
- specialized courses such as primitive fishing methods, wild food, natural material crafts, or traditional fire-making
Training can take place in easily accessible locations or in remote northern wilderness settings. Equipment and materials can be provided as needed—the rest you’ll learn to create yourself from nature. Rental equipment can be arranged. And the rest you’ll learn to improvise yourself!
